The Herald-Mail is a daily newspaper based in Hagerstown, Maryland, serving the tri-state area around Hagerstown, including Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Martinsburg, West Virginia.
The paper traces to The Morning Herald, Hagerstown's first daily (1873), and The Daily Mail (daily from 1890); the two papers merged in 1920. The two weekday papers were combined into one morning paper, The Herald-Mail, on Oct. 1, 2007.
The Herald-Mail has been Gannett-owned since the 2019 GateHouse acquisition (previously Schurz Communications).
