About LOGISTRA
LOGISTRA
LOGISTRA is the German trade magazine for commercial-vehicle fleets and warehouse logistics, published in Munich by the HUSS-VERLAG GmbH. As the specialist title for Nfz-Fuhrpark and Lagerlogistik, it addresses the managers responsible for truck fleets, intralogistics and warehouses: the fleet managers, logistics managers and workshop professionals of industry, trade and transport companies. With its print magazine, its e-paper, its weekly newsletter and its online portal logistra.de, LOGISTRA covers the complete spectrum from forklifts, warehouse and conveyor technology, warehouse IT, order picking, packaging and dispatch to commercial vehicles, fleet management and telematics.
Overview
LOGISTRA is the practice-oriented specialist magazine for two connected worlds: the warehouse and the truck. On the intralogistics side, it covers materials-handling equipment, warehouse and conveyor technology, warehouse IT, order picking, packaging, loading and delivery: the technologies and processes with which goods are stored, moved and dispatched. On the commercial-vehicle side, it covers trucks, trailers and bodies, vans and transporters, vehicle technology and components, drive types, fuels and emissions, depots, workshops and cleaning, and fleet and transport management: the vehicles and systems with which goods are transported.
The readership is defined by operational responsibility: the fleet managers who procure and maintain the trucks, the warehouse managers who run the distribution centres, the intralogistics planners who design the material flow, and the workshop professionals who keep the equipment running. These are the practitioners of logistics, and LOGISTRA addresses them with the technical depth and the product orientation that their daily work requires.
The magazine's topic structure, as presented on the portal, documents the breadth: load carriers from boxes to pallets, packaging and loading with dock levellers and load securing, order picking from manual to pick-by-vision, dispatch and last-mile delivery, commercial vehicles and vehicle tests, drive technologies from diesel to electric mobility and hydrogen, fleet management with telematics and tyre management, and the innovations from aerodynamics to autonomous driving. This systematic coverage makes the magazine the reference work of its field.
The editor-in-chief is Tobias Schweikl, responsible for the editorial content. The publishing house is the HUSS-VERLAG GmbH, Joseph-Dollinger-Bogen 5 in 80807 Munich, with Christoph Huss as managing partner and Rainer Langhammer as managing director. The print ISSN is 1862-7250. The advertising sales for the logistics division are led by Michael Frey, with Michaela Pech for the transport division.
The online portal logistra.de extends the print magazine with current news, specialist articles and the e-paper. The weekly LOGISTRA newsletter informs subscribers once a week about the most important developments from warehouses and commercial-vehicle fleets, delivered directly to their mailboxes by the specialist journalists. The special coverage of industry events, such as the IAA Transportation 2026, brings the trade fair to the readers who cannot attend.
History
LOGISTRA was developed by the HUSS-VERLAG as the specialist magazine for the operational side of logistics: the fleets and the warehouses. While the publishing house's flagship LOGISTIK HEUTE, founded in 1979, addresses the strategic decision-makers of supply chain management, LOGISTRA serves the practitioners who run the trucks and the warehouses. This division of labour between the two titles reflects the structure of the logistics profession: the managers who design the supply chains and the specialists who operate them.
The magazine's history follows the technological transformation of its two fields. In intralogistics, the decades brought the automation of warehouses, from the first automated storage systems to the robot-assisted fulfilment centres of the e-commerce era, and the digitalisation of warehouse management through IT systems, scanners and voice picking. In commercial vehicles, the decades brought the successive emissions standards, the telematics revolution that made fleets transparent, and now the transformation of drives: electromobility, hydrogen and the digitalisation of the truck.
The HUSS-VERLAG's development into a modern B2B publishing house provided the institutional framework. Founded by Wolfgang Huss, who died in January 2025, the publishing group serves the economic sectors of logistics and automotive with a portfolio of trade journals, special publications, digital media, events and awards. LOGISTRA benefits from this portfolio logic: the readers of the transport newspaper Transport, the participants of the HUSS events, and the audience of the sister magazines form the professional community in which LOGISTRA operates.
The digital transformation brought the online portal, the e-paper and the newsletter, extending the print magazine into the continuous digital flow. The "Alle Rechte vorbehalten 1998-2026 HUSS VERLAG GmbH" footer of the portal documents the long digital history of the brand.
Content and Sections
The content of LOGISTRA is organised by the operational fields. Intralogistics and warehouse logistics form the first pillar: materials-handling equipment from forklifts to automated guided vehicles, warehouse and conveyor technology, warehouse IT and software, order-picking technologies from pick-by-light to pick-by-vision, packaging machines and materials, loading technology and load securing, and the dispatch processes including city logistics and last-mile concepts.
Commercial vehicles, fleets and fleet management form the second pillar: truck tests and vehicle presentations, trailers and bodies, vans and transporters, vehicle technology and components from chassis to electronics, drive types and fuels from diesel and gas to electric and hydrogen, emissions standards and regulations, depots and workshops, and the management disciplines of fleet operation: vehicle procurement through leasing, rental or purchase, fleet management software, telematics, tyre management, and breakdown services.
The news coverage follows the industry's rhythm: product launches, company developments, regulatory changes, and the trade fairs from LogiMAT to IAA Transportation. The specialist articles provide the technical depth: how to choose the right forklift, how to implement telematics, how digital tyre management optimises the fleet. The best-practice features present the solutions of leading companies, and the product recommendations guide the purchasing decisions.
The HUSS StaplerManager software, the publisher's own cloud-based forklift fleet management solution, illustrates the integration of media and services in the B2B publishing house: the magazine that reports on fleet management also provides the tool for it, at 9.90 euros per vehicle per month.
Publisher and Organization
LOGISTRA is published by the HUSS-VERLAG GmbH, Joseph-Dollinger-Bogen 5, 80807 Munich, registered with the Munich commercial register (HRB 48372). The publishing house is part of the HUSS corporate group based in Munich and Berlin. The managing partner is Christoph Huss, and the managing director is Rainer Langhammer. The founder Wolfgang Huss, who died in January 2025 at the age of 84, built the group from the 1979 logistics magazine into one of Germany's leading B2B publishers.
The editor-in-chief is Tobias Schweikl, responsible for the editorial content under media law, reachable at redaktion@logistra.de. The advertising sales are organised by division: Michael Frey leads advertising sales for the logistics division, Michaela Pech for the transport division, with the contact anzeigen@logistra.de.
The business model is that of the B2B specialist magazine: subscriptions and e-paper sales to the professional readership, advertising from the suppliers of intralogistics and commercial vehicles, and the newsletter and online marketing services. The readership of fleet managers, warehouse managers and logistics practitioners is the precise target group of the forklift manufacturers, the truck makers, the telematics providers, the tyre companies and the warehouse technology suppliers. The HUSS group's awards, including LOGISTRA best practice, and its events provide additional platforms for the industry.
Digital Presence
The website logistra.de is the magazine's digital home: the news portal for commercial-vehicle fleets and warehouse logistics, with current reporting, specialist articles, product presentations and the e-paper. The site is in German and is organised by the magazine's topic structure, from load carriers to fleet management, making it the searchable reference of the field. The weekly newsletter delivers the specialist journalists' selection of the most important developments to subscribers' mailboxes.
The e-paper makes the complete print magazine available digitally, and the special event coverage, such as the IAA Transportation 2026 special reporting, extends the magazine's reach to the industry's meeting points. The digital strategy serves the practitioner's workflow: the quick news update online, the in-depth specialist article in print and e-paper, the weekly newsletter briefing.
As the trade magazine for commercial-vehicle fleets and warehouse logistics, LOGISTRA serves the operational heart of the German logistics industry. From its Munich headquarters in the HUSS publishing house, it reports on the forklifts, the warehouses, the trucks and the fleets that keep goods moving, in print, as e-paper, and online every day.
