The Argus-Press is a daily newspaper based in Owosso, Michigan, serving Shiawassee County in central Michigan. Published daily in print, it is the community newspaper of record for Owosso and surrounding Shiawassee County.
The newspaper was formed in 1916 by the merger of the Evening Argus and the Press-American, with roots tracing to the 1854 Owosso American. It was one of Michigan's longest-running family-owned dailies, owned by four generations of the Campbell family from 1885 to 2025.
In 2025, the Campbell family sold the newspaper to Boone Newsmedia of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; it now operates as Owosso Newsmedia LLC.
