The Patriot Ledger is a daily newspaper based in Quincy, Massachusetts, serving 26 communities on the South Shore.
Founded January 7, 1837 as the weekly Quincy Patriot, it became a daily with the 1916 merger into the Quincy Patriot Ledger. The paper was family-owned by the Prescott family from 1852 until its sale in 1997, and was once the hometown paper of President John Quincy Adams.
The newspaper is owned by USA Today Co. (Gannett) and is headquartered in Quincy, Massachusetts. It publishes Monday through Saturday.
