The Spectrum is a daily newspaper based in St. George, Utah, serving Southern Utah as the region's largest newspaper. Published daily in print and digital formats, it is the newspaper of record for St. George and surrounding communities.
Founded in 1963 as the Southern Utah News-Advertiser, a free weekly, the paper expanded to daily publication in 1976. It was renamed The Daily Spectrum in 1982, and became The Spectrum in 1994.
The Spectrum was sold to Gannett in 2000, now part of USA Today Co. It maintains offices in St. George and Cedar City, publishing the Cedar Daily News as its Cedar City edition.
