About TVP Textilveredlung & Promotion
TVP Textilveredlung & Promotion
TVP Textilveredlung & Promotion, short TVP, is the bimonthly German trade magazine for textile finishing and promotion, covering textile printing, embroidery, flocking, rhinestones, laser marking, promotional textiles, and professional and work clothing. Published by the Verlagshaus Gruber GmbH in Eppertshausen and distributed in the German-speaking area, the magazine appears six times a year with a distributed circulation of 7,200 copies. Founded in 1998 by Roland Gruber, TVP is the specialist journal that connects advertising, promotion, and textile finishing.
Overview
The bimonthly rhythm gives the textile finishing industry its regular specialist pulse: six issues a year, each covering the printing, embroidery, flocking, and laser techniques alongside the promotional textile themes. The 7,200-copy distributed circulation, plus the digital channels, reaches the German-speaking textile finishers, from the printers and embroiderers to the transfer manufacturers.
The advertising-promotion-textile finishing triangle defines the editorial program: TVP is not the pure textile technology journal but the trade magazine that connects the advertising and promotion topics with the finishing techniques. The complete overview of the application areas and techniques of printing, embroidering, and flocking textiles of all kinds serves the practitioners' daily work.
The readership's 72.5-percent textile finisher share documents the core audience: the printers, embroiderers, flockers, and transfer manufacturers who read the product news, trends, tips, and tricks from practice, the technology, and the fair coverage. The wholesale, agency, and advertising technician shares complete the industry's value chain readership.
TVP Textilveredlung und Promotion is a bimonthly German trade magazine for the topics of textile printing, embroidery, flocking, rhinestones, laser marking, promotional textiles as well as professional and work clothing, published by the Verlagshaus Gruber GmbH in Eppertshausen and distributed in the German-speaking area. The magazine has a distributed circulation of 7,200 copies and appears with six issues per year.
The 2025 media kit positions the magazine as the trade journal for textile finishing and promotion that connects the topics of advertising, promotion, and textile finishing, offering a complete overview of the application areas and techniques of printing, embroidering, and flocking textiles of all kinds. The topic areas include screen and digital printing, embroidery, flex, flock, sublimation, DTF, rhinestones, and laser branding; machinery and consumables; technology and application; promotional textiles and corporate fashion; clothing for sports, profession, and leisure; fairs and marketing; advertising, merchandising, and promotion; and design.
The readership structure documents the professional audience: 72.5 percent textile finishers, including printers, embroiderers, flockers, and transfer manufacturers; 6.5 percent textile wholesale and promotional products trade; 6 percent advertising technicians; 5 percent agencies for promotion, events, and advertising; and smaller shares of sports goods and textile retail, copy and print shops, and merchandisers.
History
The 1998 founding places TVP in the generation of German textile trade journals that professionalized the promotional textile industry, when the corporate fashion, the workwear, and the merchandising markets demanded the specialist journalism. The magazine's more than 25 years have documented the textile finishing's evolution: from the screen printing and embroidery through the digital printing to the current DTF and laser branding.
The SIP-Textil origin as the screen-printing journal's special issue shows the magazine's roots: the Siebdruck-Fachzeitschrift SIP's textile supplement that became the independent journal with the 1/2000 issue. The characteristic layout and the own editorial office that the 2000 relaunch brought have defined the magazine's identity since.
The 2004 renaming to TVP Textilveredlung & Promotion consolidated the brand: the Textilveredlung und Promotion title that the magazine has carried for two decades. The editor-in-chief succession, from Stefan Roller-Aßfalg's 1999-2016 tenure through Andreas Farnung's 2016-2022 leadership to Silke Jährling's 2023 start, documents the editorial continuity.
The trade journal was founded in 1998 by Roland Gruber. The first issue appeared under the designation SIP-Textil as a special issue of the screen-printing trade journal SIP, which also appeared at the Verlagshaus Gruber at the time and is published today by the WNP-Verlag in Munich. With the 1/2000 issue, the magazine appeared for the first time as an independent journal, with its characteristic layout to this day and with its own editorial office.
Since the 1/2004 issue, the magazine has appeared under the name TVP Textilveredlung & Promotion. From September 1999 to January 2016, TVP was led by editor-in-chief Stefan Roller-Aßfalg. From the beginning of 2016 to December 2022, the magazine stood under the leadership of Andreas Farnung. Since 2023, TVP has been led by editor-in-chief Silke Jährling.
The magazine's development from the SIP special issue to the independent bimonthly documents the textile finishing industry's growth: the advertising, promotion, and textile finishing topics that the magazine connects have become the specialist journal's standing program over more than 25 years.
Coverage and Content
The technique journalism covers the finishing methods in depth: the screen printing, the digital printing, the embroidery, the flex and flock applications, the sublimation, the DTF direct-to-film, the rhinestone setting, and the laser branding. The product news, trends, tips, and tricks from practice give the textile finishers the workshop knowledge they need.
The machinery journalism covers the equipment side: the printing machines, the embroidery machines, the flocking equipment, and the consumables that the 72.5-percent finisher readership buys. The technology and application articles explain the methods' practical use, from the artwork creation through the screen production to the drying, cleaning, and testing.
The corporate fashion and workwear journalism covers the textile products: the promotional textiles, the corporate fashion collections, and the clothing for sports, profession, and leisure. The design coverage gives the readers the aesthetic inspiration alongside the technical instruction, while the fairs and marketing section documents the industry's event calendar.
TVP covers the textile finishing industry's full spectrum: the screen and digital printing, the embroidery, the flex, flock, sublimation, DTF, rhinestones, and laser branding techniques. The machinery and consumables coverage gives the practitioners the product knowledge, while the technology and application articles explain the methods.
The promotional textile journalism covers the advertising side: the promotional textiles and corporate fashion, the clothing for sports, profession, and leisure, and the advertising, merchandising, and promotion themes. The fairs and marketing coverage documents the industry's trade fair landscape, including the giveadays and tecstylevisions events that the publisher's media program partners.
The Golden Shirt Award, awarded by the trade magazine for textile decoration and promotion at the trade fair, is the industry's coveted prize: the competition's theme, like the color red year, challenges the entrants to combine at least two textile finishing techniques. The expert jury of the TV trade fair advisory board decides the winners, with the sponsored first, second, and third prizes.
Organization and Ownership
TVP is published by the Verlagshaus Gruber GmbH, the Eppertshausen trade publisher at the Max-Planck-Str. 2, 64859 Eppertshausen. The publisher is Roland Gruber, the magazine's 1998 founder. The publisher's media program extends beyond TVP: the Polish sister edition T&P Textilveredlung und Promotion, the mep magazine for the international MICE business, the IDtex digital textile printing journal, and the PPF personal protection and workwear magazine. The media kit lists the publisher as the media partner of the giveadays promotional products trade fair and the tecstylevisions textile decoration fair.
Digital Presence
Tvp-textil.de is the magazine's digital home, with the trade journal's articles, the media kit, and the digital channels that extend the 7,200-copy print circulation. The digital subscription options, from the digital annual subscription to the print-plus-digital combination, give the readers the online access alongside the bimonthly print magazine.
Dedicated apps or podcasts for the TVP brand are not detailed in the sources reviewed; the brand's digital presence rests on its website, the digital channels, and the bimonthly print magazine's textile finishing journalism.
