88.9 WynFM (call sign 3WYN) is a community radio station based in Werribee, Victoria, Australia — the community voice of Melbourne's west. History

Wyn FM was established in 1995 — as a community radio station to serve the City of Wyndham and surrounding areas. The early years were the volunteer build: the aspiration, the licences, the tests. Since 2001, the station has been permanently broadcasting to Werribee and surrounding areas — the 88.9 frequency, the 3WYN call sign, the Victoria University campus studios.

The western context matters: the old Stereo 974 (3WRB, Braybrook/Brooklyn) had covered Werribee and Melton among its broader area — Wyn FM and 979fm (Melton) are the successors, the west's community frequencies divided among the growth corridors.
